The Life and Death of Ice Cream

This is a sad video :(

Ice Cream Cone

So there are a lot of options where you can put your ice cream for eating.  My favorite is the ice cream cone.  Ice cream cone comes in many shapes and many sizes, from a waffle cones to a traditional cone.  Some versions come in the shape of a bowl, so not only can you easily use a spoon with your ice cream cone, but you can even eat the bowl, which is really just a sort of flat ice cream cone, at the end of nnyour ice cream!

To me, this seems to be one of the best types of ice cream cone that a person could use to eat ice cream, simply beause you can have the traditional ice cream cone experience, except the ice cream cone lets you enjoy a little it more control over your ice cream!  Now if they could just make a spoon made out of ice cream cone we would be set!

The next best type of ice ream cone in my opinion is the waffle ice cream cone.  This type has similar advantages to the ice cream cone shaped like a bowl, but you can walk around and eat your ice cream!  How much fun is that!  Usually when it comes to the waffle type of ice cream cone, the ice cream cone conveniently holds up to three scoops of ice cream!  And compared to a traditional ice cream cone, it is a much easier way to eat three scoops of ice cream!  I think this type of ice cream cone only makes the ice cream eating experience even better!

When it comes to waffle type of ice cream cone, you are not simply limited to scooped ice cream, because the waffle ice cream cone holds soft serve as well.  Heck, that is where I was introduced to the waffle ice cream cone: Soft serve ice cream!!!

My favorite part about the waffle cone is that after you have eaten most of the ice cream, and have moved on to eating the cone itself, when you get to the bottom all of the melted ice cream is found waiting for you as a surprise!  It is like a special stash of ice cream waiting for you at the bottom of your ice cream cone!!

Of course the traditional ice cream cone is also good, however it serves as more of a handle for your ice cream rather than the other two types of ice cream cones you can buy.  That means that with the traditional ice cream cone it is a race against the clock... will you finish your ice cream before it melts off the ice cream cone?!  I know I have personally never had the roblem before, but if you are the type of personal that likes to take their time with ice cream, the traditional ic cream cone may not be for you!

I Scream, We all Scream For Ice Cream! (1927)

I love Ice Cream!!!  What a wonderful food!!!  Enjoy this old song from 1927!!!

Bad Ice Cream

There are times in my life when I have actually had bad ice cream.  Bad ice cream can have a lot of troubles that make it so bad.  Of course by this, I mean a couple of different things.

First, bad ice cream can mean that there was too much sugar or not enough sugar.  If there is too much sugar you can be sure that it doesn't balance out with the rest of the ice cream, and you will have an unremarkable experience to be sure.  The same can be said of ice cream with not enough sugar- it is easy to have a bad ice cream experience because the ice cream is bad ice cream due to the fact that it is bland and flavorless.

I can tell you , one of the most consistent bad ice cream experiences that I have had is with so called "low fat" ice cream.  When it comes to bad ice cream, low fat ice cream always disappoints me.  I mean, who are we kidding?  If you are going to eat ice cream and put the calories in your body, why eat bad ice cream that is sugar-free or even fat free?  Part of the thing that distinguishes bad ice cream from good ice cream is the sugar and the fat!  If I see see fat free or reduced fat ice cream in the store I automatically assume that it is bad ice cream.

So how about you?  Where have you had bad ice cream?  What ice cream brand do you consider to be so horrible?  Where would you go to avoid bad ice cream?

I know that for me, bad ice cream is any ice cream that doesn't make me feel that nice comfortable feeling in my belly, or taste good on my tongue.  Again, if we are going to eat ice cream we want to make sure that it is not bad ice cream, but the best.  When we do that we can ensure that we will not have the dreaded bad ice cream experience!

Chocolate Ice Cream

There is a debate raging in America these days, and perhaps around the world.  That is the debate between chocolate ice cream, and vanilla ice cream.  The people that love chocolate ice cream fall in line behind each other, and defend their position with their very lives!  Well, maybe their love for chocolate ice cream doesn't do to giving their life, but the people that love it REALLY love their cocoa based frozen treat!

Now, I understand this, since I love ice cream of all flavors and colors, and that includes chocolate. Why can't the chocolate ice cream lovers, and the vanilla lovers just get along?!  It is possible for everyone to get along like brothers and sisters!

I will say that not all chocolate ice cream is created equal.  This is possibly where the misunderstanding possibly finds its origin.  If you don't like chocolate ice cream, it is perhaps because you haven't tried the RIGHT kind!

When you are looking at chocolate ice cream, it is important for you to look at the ingredients of that chocolate ice cream.  A lot of what you buy in the store has artificial colors and flavors.  While it may satisfy your sweet tooth, the best chocolate ice cream has real cocoa and other natural flavors in it.

You know that you have found authentic chocolate ice cream when you taste that wonderful full bodied taste that fills your entire mouth with flavor.  When you taste the real cocoa beans in that chocolate ice cream you will know, because it will have that full bodied flavor that sugar and artificial flavors like corn syrup simply can't provide.

One of my favorite ways to eat chocolate ice cream is a dessert called "Death By Chocolate."  This is chocolate ice cream, on top of chocolate cake, covered in fudge syrup!  Doesn't that sound like a good way to eat chocolate ice cream?!  With MORE chocolate!?

Again, I think we need to get past our chocolate ice cream discrimination and bias and get along.  Often when I have vanilla ice cream, I have it with my chocolate ice cream- there is nothing better than a swirl soft serve ice cream with both vanilla and chocolate Ice Cream!

Vanilla Ice Cream

Boy do I love vanilla ice cream!  Vanilla ice cream is probably the favorite of a lot of people out there.

Just recently I went to a restaurant here in my town called "Bar Louie."  I think Bar Louie might be a chain because there are actually two of them in this town. I was having a particularly bad day, and I ordered a piece of chocolate cake and a scoop of vanilla ice cream.  I tell you what, there is nothing better than vanilla ice cream and warm chocolate cake.  And I have to say that they were very generous.

The Vanilla ice cream was put right on top of the chocolate cake and it drizzled down the sides as it melted.  The vanilla ice cream was a like a beacon of delicious light as it melted down the side!  After admiring the vanilla ice cream and chocolate cake for a minute, I took my first bite.

Now, it is important that this is done correctly.  The correct way to do this is to make sure that you have a balance of vanilla ice cream and chocolate cake on your fork. You don't want too much vanilla ice cream, and you don't want too little.  Vanilla ice cream, like life, is all about balance!

The first bite of vanilla ice cream and chocolate cake is a vital one, because it will set the tone for the rest of how the experience will go!  This was an epic bit of ice cream and cake.  The flavors mixed in my mouth, the sweet taste of the vanilla ice cream and the dark rich flavor of the chocolate cake.  I believe I heard the vanilla ice cream angels singing from heaven! I felt the warm/cold mixture of the vanilla ice cream and warm cake play with my taste buds and move quickly into my stomach, which also enjoyed the mixture.

I think vanilla ice cream goes well with other desserts as well- like apple pie and pumpkin pie, but nothing compliments vanilla ice cream quite like chocolate cake.  What a wonderful taste experience!

I hope this has made you hungry for vanilla ice cream and chocolate cake!  I know just writing t has made me hungry for it as well!!!  Vanilla ice cream is a favorite of so many people because it is so good, and you always know what to expect with vanilla ice cream!!
